BLUE LACE AGATE - An Agate with light blue bands in a lacy or wavy pattern is known by this name and is found in the quiet isolation of the African desert and was first uncovered in the early 1960's by an American prospector who lived in Springbok, South Africa. Apply named blue lace because of the blue, lavender laced color.  These agates are found in vein deposits with dolomite in South Africa and  the district of Karasburg, Namibia.
