A red, pink and black gemstone. Its a jasper in rounded fragments naturally cemented together in a gray material. This stone almost looks like it has been broken and put back together. Greek origin of the word jasper, iaspis, means "spotted stone". Jasper contains microscopic "grains" of crystalline quartz. The gem was a favorite in the ancient world and was called the great "rain-bringer"
