FLUORITE - The stone's color includes green, white, purple and lavender The name fluorite comes from the Latin fluo "(flow") in reference to its use as a flux and the word "fluorescent" is derived from fluorite.  Used by ancient Egyptians to carve statues and scarabs. Also used by the Chinese for over 300 years. In the early 18th Century fluorite was used as powder in water, to help symptoms of kidney disease.. It also has been used to assist in the prevention and repair of RNA and DNA damage.
