SARDONYX -  a veined onyx. It was one of the stones set into the breastplate of the High Priest Aaron. In the Book of Revelation it is the fifth stone in the foundation of the New Jerusalem. It is known as the "gem of courage" and was a favorite gem of the ancients.Many thousands of years ago the Egyptians wore them as talismans.
