RUBY in Zoisite - Medium grade Ruby and Green Zoisite form together to usually give a dullish red and green stone. The red ruby is often distorted and irregularly spread through the masses of green zoisite. Zoisite is named after Siegmund Zois, Baron von Edelstein, who was an Austrian scholar who financed mineral-collecting expeditions.
